Academic Integrity
Academic
integrity is a very important factor for Clemson students. It is something that is stressed in all the
faculty and staff on Clemson’s campus, and is a vital part to how the students
do their work. Academic integrity is a
student doing their own work. They do
not cheat on their tests, or plagiarize while writing papers. They stay true to their own work, and don’t take
away from others. It is very important
to everyone in Clemson because it makes Clemson a better campus. It shows how intelligent and hard working our
students are. We stay true to academic integrity
not only for the university’s sake, but for our sake as well. We learn more when we stay true to the
academic integrity pledge. It prepares
us for later on in the life when we are out working on our own.
I will
be working my hardest to stay true to academic integrity. I will be doing my work on my own, I will
never cheat on a test, and I will never plagiarize while writing a paper. I know that if I do plagiarize on a paper,
that I will get in serious trouble, and if I cheat on a test and get caught, I will
not pass my class. I have the risk of
getting kicked out of a class or just straight failing out of a class. I will not use my friends’ work to do my
work. It will be a huge help for me
later on in life to do my own work. Yes,
it will be challenging, but it will help me learn how to do things on my
own. It will help my expand my mind and
help me get smarter and wiser. Academic
integrity is a very big part in my college life.
